The latest series in AMC's evolving Immortal Universe, Mayfair Witches has already joined Interview with the Vampire in becoming the most-viewed premieres in the nascent streaming platform's history.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Daddario leads Mayfair Witches as Rowan Fielding, a brilliant pediatric surgeon with no time for the patriarchy. When she finally takes a stand against her chauvinist boss at the hospital, she accidentally unleashes a power she had no idea she possessed.
While the Mayfair Witches clip above ends with Deirdre shedding a tear in the real world, alerting her nurse Delphine that something may be amiss, she is still a long way from asserting the control that Lasher so desperately desires her to do. Those familiar with Anne Rice's novel series already know what becomes of Deirdre and Rowan, but even audiences who have watched only the first episode can sense the ambiguity of Lasher.
Given that both series are in the same interconnected universe, it's both unsurprising and exciting that executive producer Mark Johnson has teased ongoing crossover conversations at AMC. While Interview with the Vampire and Mayfair Witches already share New Orleans as a location, and Louis referenced the Mayfair sisters in his first episode, the time periods they're in don't necessarily overlap.
