A Lanarkshire local has expressed concern after police recovered thousands of pounds worth of cannabis from an address in Thankerton.
At around 10.30am on Tuesday, July 16, officers from Lanarkshire CID raided an address on Sherifflats Road in Thankerston. A cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value of £373,00 was recovered. Speaking to Glasgow Live, one local expressed their concerns saying Thankerton is a "sleepy little hamlet" and questioned if they were "safe in rural areas".
