This mid-century California home once owned by the late actor Ted Knight — who played vain anchorman Ted Baxter on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and Judge Elihu Smails in “Caddyshack” The remodeled Los Angeles abode at 19811 Friar St. in the San Fernando Valley’s Woodland Hills area — separated from the heart of LA by the Santa Monica mountains — was designed by architect William Krisel., Krisel and his partner Dan Palmer designed more than 30,000 homes throughout Southern California, Krisel also designed the home where Elvis and Priscilla Presley honeymooned in Palm Springs.
Built in 1954, it features original vaulted ceilings. The backyard landscaping includes mature orange trees by the pool.
