Fire crews suggested the new owner to name the kitten “Lincoln.”
A kitten was rescued after getting stuck inside of a car engine compartment in Lancaster County on Saturday., based in Ephrata, crews dispatched to Hammon Avenue in Ephrata Township at 11:30 p.m. after residents reported hearing the kitten crying inside the engine compartment of a vehicle for several hours.
When crews arrived at the scene, they discovered a small kitten had crawled inside and could not get out. Crews worked for almost two hours to free the cat by removing several pieces of the undercarriage of the vehicle along with a belt, with permission of the owner of the car to free the kitten, officials said.Lincoln Fire Company highly recommended the new owner to name the kitten “Lincoln.”“The Lincoln Volunteers are not only dedicated to help the citizens in our area, but our furry friends too,” fire officials said.
