This issue compromises the vehicle's compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108, 'Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.

'\Kia is urging owners of affected vehicles to contact their customer service line at 1-800-333-4542, referencing recall number SC331. For further assistance, vehicle owners can reach out to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit nhtsa.gov. To determine if their vehicle is included in the recall, owners can utilize the NHTSA recall page, inputting their vehicle's license plate number or 17-digit VIN.\Kia dealerships will rectify the issue by updating the BDCU software free of charge. Notice letters will be dispatched to affected owners by February 21, 2025
