Alfred Swinscoe had been at a pub when he went missing in January 1967.
An inquest is set to continue into the death of a man whose body was found in a Nottinghamshire field more than 50 years after he went missing. Alfred Swinscoe had been drinking at the Miners' Arms pub in Pinxton, Derbyshire, when he went missing in January 1967.
Nottinghamshire Police continues to investigate Mr Swinscoe's death, with his skeleton having showed signs of violent trauma, indicating murder. Police have already identified two murder suspects, but both of them have now died. Assistant Chief Constable Rob Griffin, of Nottinghamshire Police, previously said: "Alfred died in the most horrendous way imaginable. Not only did he suffer violent injuries, but he was then buried in a field so that no one would find him.
