The former Ibrox hero reckons that another change in the dugout could be a misstep by the club powerbrokers.
In Rangers fans’ eyes Michael Beale is now scrambling to keep his job as manager. Whether the people who run the club feel the same way, is the question after yesterday’s defeat to Aberdeen.
Yet in the last eight years, they’ve had FIVE. Do they really want to make that six? We’re probably close to that situation now. But I don’t believe sacking the manager is always the right answer. My question to the people saying he’s rubbish and needs to go is ‘Who comes in next?’ I watched them yesterday after going behind to Dons. They needed to show some balls, courage, some character. But it didn’t happen.
I get that managers live and die by their recruitment. And ever since winning title No.55, it hasn’t been great at all at Rangers. Ultimately it falls on the manager. That’s what Beale took on when Ross Wilson left the club and he said he’d sign his own players.
