Roofe appeared to say his goodbyes to the fans as he stayed out on the pitch after his teammates had gone down the tunnel.

Rangers fans reckon Kemar Roofe was saying his goodbyes at Ibrox as he stayed out on the pitch longer than his team-mates after the win over Dundee.

But it was an abrupt farewell from the Union Bears - who walked out before the lap of honour in an apparent full-time protest. Rangers came from 2-0 down to beat Dundee 5-2 and kept Celtic waiting at least another 24 hours to clinch the title. Things threatened to get sour with Tony Docherty's team cruising early on - and a chorus of boos met the half-time whistle even despite Ross McCausland halving the deficit.

A much-improved second half flipped the mood significantly and there were emotional scenes at full-time, with a number of players likely playing at Ibrox for the last time. One out-of-contract star in that situation is Roofe and fans on social media shared images and clips of the Englishman out on the pitch by himself, soaking it up after his team-mates had returned to the dressing room.

Philippe Clement and his players did the traditional end-of-season lap of honour but not everyone was on board. The drab attendance reflected the overall mood after effectively relinquishing the title to Celtic last weekend and though the second half performance improved things, some were still far from happy.

Ultras the Union Bears walked out before the full-time whistle in what the Glasgow Times report was an organised protest from the fan group. They're unhappy with how things have gone in recent weeks and appeared to make their voices heard by walking out on the players as they lapped the stadium to thank the fans.
