Kelvin Vickers sits after arriving in court for closing arguments in his murder trial Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023. Judge Julie Hahn accepted a partial verdict handed down by the jury Friday morning that convicted Kelvin Vickers on 24 of 26 charges.
The only two charges on which the jury didn't reach a verdict were aggravated murder and attempt to commit aggravated murder. Deliberations will continue on those two charges.If they cannot reach a unanimous verdict on those counts, defense attorney Michael Schiano said the charges would have to be retried. He said it would not be a mistrial on the entire case.
