NSTnation Kelantan hails Idrus Harun's appointment as new AG
Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob said he believed Idrus was the right person for the post due to his wide experience in the field.
"He is well versed in the law and will also bring with him his experience as a judge," said Ahmad who is also Pas deputy spiritual leader.The 65-year-old replaces Tan Sri Tommy Thomas who stepped down after a 21-month old stint. Thomas officially resigned as AG after he handed his resignation letter to former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Feb 28.
