John Wick 3's Ending Would Have Been An Awful Franchise-Closer While it's easy to praise John Wick 3's ending in hindsight after the fourth movie, it would have been an awful way to close the franchise. The reason the film's ending worked is that it did such a great job of setting up a fourth; without the fourth film, Parabellum's ending would have failed.
