Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Katy Perry shared what appears to be a very romantic gesture from Justin Trudeau: handwritten Rubik’s Cube instructions.
Love can look like anything: a bouquet of flowers brought home just because; a shoulder to cry on; someone making your favorite meal from scratch. ForOn Tuesday, Perry posted a photo dump with the caption “♥️ let love be the revolution ♥️.
” In it, she included a couple of photos of herself and Trudeau, who have been dating since. In one picture, the couple is at the top of a mountain in full ski gear. In another, they look cozy and smiley in front of a steaming hot pot. Those photos are cute, but Perry saved the best snap for last:Hidden all the way at slide No. 20 is a photo of what appears to be Perry’s hand holding a piece of paper bearing the letterhead of the “Office of the Prime Minister” . In case it wasn’t clear enough, at the bottom is the official logo for Canada. In between all of that are what appears to be scrawled-out instructions for how to successfully complete a Rubik’s Cube in only seven steps. Helpfully, the instructions are titled “Cube” just in case Perry forgot what she was looking at. I think it’s safe to assume that this note comes from Trudeau, unless Perry is getting puzzle tips on the side from Mark Carney. Trudeau has given Perry the most basic Rubik’s Cube instructions , but he took the time to write them all out and even included a hand-drawn diagram of the Cube itself to show her how to properly flip it. The gesture is actually quite romantic, especially when you consider how many women have boyfriends whose main hobby is some form of yelling at a screen . I actually find this so charming that I won’t even comment on how it’s time for Trudeau, who has not been Canada’s prime minister since March 2025, to move on and get new stationery.
