We chat with kateesackhoff about Bo-Katan's quest for atonement, a potential Ahsoka cameo, and more sects in season 3 of TheMandalorian:
The Mandalorian season 3 will see Din Djarin reunited with his foundling Grogu as they embark on a quest to reclaim Din's Mandalorian honor after he removed his helmet in the second season. Now wielding the Darksaber, Din will meet several others from his clan and return to their devastated home of Mandalore. Bo-Katan wants to use the Darksaber to reunite the remaining Mandalorians in an effort to take back their home, but she lost the powerful weapon to Din last season.
Katee Sackhoff: Well, I think you hit the nail on the head. I think that she has lost everything. Everything that she thought she wanted, everything that she has fought for so long, is gone. And I think that's where we find her; in this place [that's] almost an "all is lost" moment. I think she's probably questioning everything she's done since the moment we met her over 10 years ago, and the means to which she went about getting to where she's at.
Last season, Bo-Katan pointed Mando to Ahsoka. This seems to indicate that the two still have a bond. Will we see more of that play out in either The Mandalorian or the Ahsoka spin-off? Katee Sackhoff: I think her growth, personally. I think if you look at the character from where she started, and you look at her at the end of this season, it's a true arc. I was gonna say something else, but that's a spoiler. [Laughs] Katee Sackhoff: You were so close, and I went, "No!" [Laughs] I think that the the amount of growth that this woman has done is pretty impressive.
