The Mandalorian’s Razor Crest ship has taken its place among other iconic Star Wars ships. But why isn’t he flying it in The Mandalorian season 3?

Din Djarin and Grogu will not be cruising in the classic ST-70 class Razor Crest for their adventures in The Mandalorian season 3. The Razor Crest was Din’s bread and butter in both seasons of The Mandalorian since it boasted all the features a bounty hunter could want. The spacious cargo bay was perfect for Din’s line of work, though it’s unclear whether the built-in carbonite freezer was a modification of his.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Early on in The Mandalorian season 1, the Razor Crest was completely stripped for parts by a group of Jawas on Arvala-7. It was also almost completely decimated by white space spiders in The Mandalorian season 2. All in all, Din could never catch a break when it came to his ship. He was forced to both perform and pay for several makeshift repairs for the Razor Crest, so that by The Mandalorian season 2, the ship was hobbling along on its last legs.

There wasn’t much Din could have done to avoid losing the Razor Crest. When they arrived on Tython, Din told Grogu there was nowhere to land the Razor Crest on the mountain and they’d have to land further down near its base. Since Tython was uninhabited, Din wasn’t expecting anyone to follow them. He left the Razor Crest parked out in the open, which made it an easy target for Moff Gideon’s light cruiser.

How Din Djarin Got A New Ship In The Book of Boba Fett, Din had his heart set on getting an identical Razor Crest to his old one. In his mind, it made sense to get another one since he’s returned to his bounty-hunting business. But Peli Motto had different plans for him. Instead of getting him another Razor Crest — or anything remotely like it — she hooked him up with a retrofitted Naboo N-1 starfighter.
