Muhyiddin dinamakan sebagai perdana menteri baru semalam, sekali gus menamatkan kemelut politik selama 1 minggu selepas PPBM keluar Pakatan Harapan berikutan peletakan jawatan perdana menteri Dr Mahathir Mohamad.Kerajaan negeri yang merakamkan ucapan tahniah atas pelantikan Muhyiddin sebagai perdana menteri baru ialah Kelantan, Terengganu dan Pahang.
Tiga kerajaan negeri ini diperintah oleh parti dalam gabungan baru “Perikatan Nasional” iaitu BN di Pahang, sementara Kelantan dan Terengganu dikuasai PAS.
