The"Can't Stop the Feeling" singer, 43, appeared in court for his arraignment in handcuffs on Tuesday and was released shortly afterward, per the outlet. A Sag Harbor police department representativethat the “Cry Me A River” singer, 43, was in custody at the station and that they'd be releasing a statement later today.
Although law enforcement did not confirm Timberlake’s charges to the outlet, a source told PEOPLE that he was pulled over while driving to his friend’s house after having dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. They added, "Nobody was hurt." Timberlake will return to court for a hearing on June 26, which coincides with the final date of his two-night performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It is immediately unclear if the show will be affected as a result.
The *NSYNC member is currently on his Forget Tomorrow world tour and is scheduled to perform in Chicago next on June 21 and 22.
