Antoine Miller's attorney criticized detectives and prosecutors for not thoroughly investigating the case.

Attorney Bryan Walk wrapped up his defense on Friday of Antoine Miller, who had been accused of murder, by ripping up his notes and telling jurors: “Let’s talk.”

Prosecutors said Miller had driven another man to kill Evans-Turner, 35, on Feb. 25, 2019 in the 2100 block of Jefferson Street. Walk told the jury that even though Miller, a father of three, knew Bowman-Devan, he had no motive to assist anyone in the killing of Evans-Turner. Walk accused detectives and prosecutors of not doing their job to thoroughly—Especially former detective Ryan Neal, who retired from the Harrisburg Bureau of Police before the case went to trial.More than a year passed between the killing and when police charged Miller with homicide, which Walk said indicated detectives had reasonable doubts enough to not charge him immediately.

Miller initially gave Detective Mike Rudy, his home phone number when asked. So Rudy asked Miller for his cell phone number, too.
