JUNEAU, Alaska - The Juneau Police Department released a statement Wednesday clarifying what they say are rumors being spread online about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement .

The police department said social media posts have been seen claiming that some members of the Juneau community were being arrested by ICE agents. The department said it spoke with Homeland Security and the FBI, which confirmed there are no ICE agents present in Juneau.Police say if anyone encounters any of this kind of misinformation, they should file a police report through their non-emergency line at 586-0600.
