Joaquin Phoenix looking forlorn in Joker 2 in front of red money
Joker: Folie à Deux has passed a major global box office milestone, but it's still far from making money. The musical DC comics sequel, which stars Joaquin Phoenix in the title role opposite Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, earned a D CinemaScore, the worst ever for a Hollywood superhero movie. The Joker: Folie à Deux box office has been a massive disappointment, falling short of projections with its $37.
However, Joker: Folie à Deux is still far from making money. Its break-even point is estimated to be roughly $450 million, which means that it still needs to make another $285 million just to turn a profit.
