JOHOR BARU: The Johor government has announced several incentives to help those affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.

Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad said that as of Friday midnight , the number of positive Covid-19 cases in the state had spiked to 101.

“The state government has also agreed to give another one-off allocation of RM20,000 to all 56 assemblymen, ” he said in a live Facebook video here on Friday . He added that the Johor Islamic Religious Council would also consider giving help to those under the Asnaf category. “The state government will give rent exemption to some 10,371 traders renting at premises owned by local councils including at public markets, starting from April until December this year, ” he said.
