Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler's move to South Texas hasn't gone smoothly, with Beth instantly disliking Rio Paloma's equivalent of John Dutton, Beulah Jackson . In Dutton Ranch's series premiere, Beth's attempts to find a local slaughterhouse for her burgeoning black angus beef business run afoul of Beulah Jackson, owner of the 10-Petals Ranch. The Jackson family has controlled the 10-Petals, the largest ranch in Rio Paloma, for 190 years.
Beth wouldn't pay Beulah's exorbitant rates to slaughter her cows.
