“A convergence of factors will draw thousands of fans to the Pro Football Hall of Fame for enshrinement week.
Thomas is far from the only Brown in the Hall of Fame. But if you take away veterans who played decades ago, it’s been a bit of a dry run for the team when it comes to earning bronzed busts in Canton. Thomas’ roots are in Wisconsin. He grew up in suburban Milwaukee, attended Brookfield Central High School and then the University of Wisconsin. He stays in touch with teammates, friends, coaches and associates. And his 11-year, All-Pro career is fresh in the minds of the current generation of fans.The allotment works like this, said Rich Desrosiers, chief communications officer for the hall: Enshrinees, including Thomas and his wife, Annie, will have access to a block of hotel rooms and tickets.
“We’ll work with all the enshrinees and say, ‘Start working on your friends and family list.’ Might be 40 or 50, might be 200,” Desrosiers said.
