Jewish students have been harassed by members of the encampment, according to a petition.
Jewish advocacy organization End Antisemitism Now is calling on Syracuse University to “restore safety” to its campus after it allegedly allowed a pro-Palestine encampment to form.
“This is a significant threat to the safety and well-being of all students, and it is only growing in size,” the petition “We urge the University to take the following actions to ensure the safety of students and faculty on campus,” the group wrote. “We’re not doing anything illegal,” the member reportedly said. “We’re a very peaceful encampment, so I don’t think we’re preparing for anything because we haven’t been violent."
