Deitsch’s piece included numerous quotes from the sports television world about what those people think of the Jets QB from their journalistic perspective as they’ve interviewed him and met with him in production meetings over the years. In a word, he is thoughtful, and as Deitsch said, he’s considered one of the “most cerebral subjects they come across.”
CBS Sports producer Jim Rikhoff said Rodgers avoids cliched answers, while CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson said he is “one of the most honest quarterbacks.” It’s worth noting that Rodgers in 2020 told McAfee that he did not want to pursue a broadcasting career when his playing days ended.. “I feel like I’ll be pretty satisfied with what I did and what I contributed and move on at that point.”
