The New York Jets' pursuit of a new head coach and general manager appears to have encountered a hiccup despite previous indications of imminent deals. Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark were considered frontrunners, but recent reports suggest the process is not yet finalized.

Their only known finalists for each position were at the facility in Florham Park. And no one else was scheduled for an interview.
Other candidates had been informed that the Jets were going in a different direction, according to multiple reports.What does that mean exactly? It’s still too early to say. But most likely not much. Former coach Robert Saleh spent two days at the facility back in 2021 and left the building without a contract. He had an interview scheduled with the Eagles a day later, and there were even reports that Saleh was on his way to that interview. But the Jets hired him before it happened.
