Mullin was promoted in September 2018 to CEO of production and distribution giant Fremantle after heading its North American arm for the year prior. A former executive producer at Paramount, she is the first American CEO of the London-based company.
While her experience has primarily been in the unscripted realm, she will be leading Fremantle’s continued expansion from unscripted formats “Idol” and “Got Talent” into high-end dramas such as “The Young Pope” and “Deutschland 83.” Mullin is expected to continue the consolidation of Fremantle, which has been buying a raft of production companies, including Gurinder Chadha’s Bend It TV, Israeli formats outfit Abot Hameiri and Italy’s Wildside.
