'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' will arrive in theaters on Sept. 6.

"I never could palace it to anything except something personal to me, then after all these years being able to work with Winona and Catherine again on it -- just made it more personal, more special with Jenna, Monica and Willem and Justin -- new people that just got into the spirit of it and felt it, so it was a very very personal project for me," he added.
The sequel will follow the Deetz family -- Delia , Lydia and Lydia's daughter, Astrid -- dealing with an "unexpected family tragedy" and returning to their home in Winter River.
