It wasn’t too long ago that Netflix’s Wednesday—and the resulting Wednesday-core trend—was on everybody’s mind. Now, as Jenna Ortega sets out to promote the upcoming Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, it looks like she has temporarily put the dark academia style to bed in order to embrace a different kind of gothic look.On Tuesday, Ortega attended a photo call for the Beetlejuice sequel in Mexico City, where she stepped out in a romantic dress from Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
Ortega completed the look with minimal accessories, opting for black platform Mary Janes from Steve Madden, black diamond Anabela Chan earrings, and—for a pop of color—a crimson red manicure.Ortega is set to star in the highly anticipated Beetlejuice sequel alongside cast members from the original 1988 film, including Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara. In the movie, she plays Astrid, the teenage daughter of Ryder’s Lydia Deetz.
