When we heard that Jenna Ortega was cast as Astrid Deetz, daughter of Winona Ryder ’s Lydia Deetz, in the forthcoming Beetlejuice Beetlejuice , we knew her red carpet outfits were going to be next-level good. And we were right! The movie is directed by Tim Burton, who also helms Ortega’s Netflix series Wednesday, and promises to be just as kooky, creepy, and delightful as its ‘80s predecessor.
As in, recreating one of the most famous outfits from the movie! On August 19, Ortega stepped out wearing a faithful recreation of one of Ryder’s OG looks, a plaid skirt and blazer with a cheeky Handbook for the Recently Deceased handbag.
