Anthony Gordon missed a penalty in Saturday's 0-0 draw between his old side Everton and Newcastle in the Premier League at Goodison Park.
Jamie Carragher has slammed Everton for appearing to mock former player Anthony Gordon after Saturday's 0-0 draw with Newcastle United at Goodison Park. Gordon squandered a golden opportunity to seal three points for the Magpies as his first-half penalty was saved by Jordon Pickford. The 23-year-old was returning to Goodison Park for the third time since joining Newcastle in a £45million deal in January 2023.
Ex-Liverpool defender Carragher didn't see the funny side of the Blues' post, though. He said: 'Local lad who came through your academy... Helped keep you up under Lampard, wanted out because the club was a shambles on & off the pitch & who you then sold for 40m.
