After months reviewing Tasmania's finances, an independent economist suggested how to fix the state's budget position. It took only hours for the major parties to reject his suggestions.

Jacquie Lambie Network MP Rebecca Petland says the party will consult thoroughly on Saul Eslake 's ideas. Jacqui Lambie Network MPs say the major parties' response to a report on the state's poor financial situation is "extremely disappointing".
