INDIANAPOLIS — The 14 current Big Ten teams each will play two women's basketball conference games on the West Coast in 2024-25, and incoming members Southern California and UCLA each will play two games at the easternmost schools.Each team will have an 18-game conference schedule, playing one opponent both home and away and facing 16 teams once. Of the single-play opponents, teams will play eight at home and eight on the road.
The conference based the double-play games mostly on natural rivalries, including Indiana-Purdue. The West Coast schools' double-plays are USC-UCLA and Oregon-Washington.The Hoosiers will travel to the west coast to face newcomers Oregon and Washington and will host USC and UCLA. Their home-only games against traditional Big Ten foes include Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio State, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
Purdue will also play at Oregon and Washington, with home games against USC and UCLA. In addition to the home-and-home series with the Hoosiers, the Boilermakers will face Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern and Wisconsin at Mackey Arena. Purdue will travel for road-only games at Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.
