The Arrowverse is finally ending with The Flash season 9, just over 10 years since the universe premiered with Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen in Arrow.
It is good that the Arrowverse is finally ending, as it peaked almost 10 years ago and has not reached those heights ever since. The Arrowverse is the name given to the shared DC television universe set on The CW. It started all the way back in 2012, when Arrow debuted, which gave the universe's name its meaning.
While 2014 was a great year individually to both Amell's Oliver Queen and Gustin's Barry Allen, the year also saw the beginning of what would become an Arrowverse tradition. Gustin did start his career as Barry Allen on Arrow, but 2014 was when the characters finally had a proper crossover. The first annual crossover of the Arrowverse was titled Flash vs. Arrow, airing in two consecutive nights, with an episode on either show.
