It’s finally happening. After a wait of more than two years, the opening day for Fizz, the East Bay’s first Champagne and bubbles bar in Walnut Creek, is set for July 12.
Raymond James Irwin, owner at Fizz, a new champagne bar in Walnut Creek, worked for more than two and a half years to open the Bay Area location; the first was in his hometown of Sacramento. Founder Raymond James Irwin first opened Fizz in his hometown of Sacramento about five and a half years ago and planned to open the Walnut Creek location inIrwin actually began his career well outside the wine world. “I like to say I went from being an opera singer to a Champagne slinger,” he says. After more than two years, Fizz, a champagne and bubbles bar, is in its soft opening phase in Walnut Creek.
