Sarah Cain died two days after the crash that took place on the A1 in West Yorkshire last week. A man has been arrested in relation to the crash, and two others remain in hospital, police said. Her family paid tribute to their teenage daughter earlier today, in a statement released by police.
The teenager had significant head injuries and was rushed to hospital, but tragically died as a result of her injuries on Sunday, reports the Sun. A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said three people were taken to Leeds General Infirmary, and a further three were treated at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. The driver of the Citroen C5 was arrested on suspicion of driving offences in connection to the incident, and has now been released on police bail.
