Robert Kirkman has never had to worry about having too much gore in Invincible as he says Prime Video gives him free rein.

The Big Picture Robert Kirkman's hit series Invincible delivers eye-popping levels of gore. The show is unafraid to show its characters being savagely beaten, broken, and ripped apart to almost horrifying effect. Season 1 even saw its title character played by Steven Yeun tossed around like a ragdoll and smashed into bits by the almighty Battle Beast and even his own father Omni-Man.

Invincible gets away with some wild things with its gore. Highlights from Season 1 include Omni-Man's murder of the Guardians of the Globe and the infamous train scene in which Nolan holds Mark up to a speeding locomotive, letting Invincible's body smash through innocent passengers with guts flying everywhere.

Kirkman Has Never Been Asked to Tone Down 'Invincible's Violence For the time being, Prime Video has never confronted Kirkman about the gore and mature themes of Invincible. It shows already in Season 2, as Mark Grayson gets back into the fight despite his fears of becoming like his father.
