The trailer for Under Paris previews an intense French language horror film about a scientist named Sophie who learns of a massive, dangerous shark hiding within the 483-mile-long river.
’s description of the movie reads, “Set in the near future, in the summer of 2024, Paris is hosting the World Triathlon Championships on the Seine for the first time. Sophia, a brilliant scientist, learns from Mika, a young environmental activist, that a large shark is swimming deep in the river. To avoid
a bloodbath at the heart of the city, they have no choice but to join forces with Adil, the Seine River police commander.”, who previously made 2007’s Hitman, 2011’s The Divide, 2017’s Cold Skin, 2018’s Budapest, and 2023’s Mayhem!, among other titles. He also directed episodes of 2014’s Crossing Lines, 2020’s Gangs of London, 2021’s Mortel, and 2023’s Lupin.
Gens co-wrote the script for Under Paris with Yaël Langmann, Yannick Dahan, and Maud Heywang. Sebastien Auscher produces the film.
