The Paris fashion weeks in June are on track despite logistical hurdles linked to preparations for the Olympic Games, organizers said.

— The Paris men’s and haute couture shows in June are on track despite preparations for the Paris 2024, or FHCM, and Pascal Morand, its executive president, sought to reassure participants despite a number of remaining uncertainties heading into the final stretch of planning for the Games, billed as the biggest event organized in France.

The federation has a team liaising with the Paris police, city hall, the Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee and the Interministerial Delegation for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as key ministries, as it fine-tunes the schedules.

At least three quarters of the federation’s members have confirmed they will take part in the men’s and couture shows and the number is rising, Morand said. The Games will transform the city’s iconic landmarks into sporting venues, with plans to build a volleyball stadium at the foot of the Eiffel Tower and to host BMX and skateboard competitions on Place de la Concorde, among others.

It’s keeping its members updated via regular newsletters and will aggregate information in a guide to be posted on its website, fhcm.paris. There’s also a dedicated email address for queries, Its executive committee has voted unanimously to abolish its three branches — the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Féminine and the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine — in order to group all members in a single legal entity under the FHCM banner.
