After pandering about for a good amount of time, Intel is finally ready to give launch its Lunar Lake mobile processors to the world. The chipmaker has
settled on a date: 3 September.
That date, by the way, is just days before the IFA 2024, the annual mobile technology exhibition, kicks off in Berlin, Germany. It's a good thing for Intel as well, putting to rest and squashing any rumours and speculations over why it has taken this long to come up with a date, especially since the last time we saw and touched Lunar Lake was back at the start of June, during Computex 2024.
'Ahead of the IFA 2024 conference, join Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel executive vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group, and Jim Johnson, senior vice president and general manager of the Client Business Group, and Intel partners as they launch the next generation of Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, code-named Lunar Lake.
During the livestreamed event, they will reveal details on the new processors’ breakthrough x86 power efficiency, exceptional core performance, massive leaps in graphics performance and the unmatched AI computing power that will drive this and future generations of Intel products.' As of now, we know that the Lunar Lake mobile processors will likely be referred to as the Core Ultra 200V series, with the Core Ultra 9 288V being the top-tier of the allegedly eight SKUs that the chipmaker has planned for the market. That said, it should be noted that this launch is for the mobile CPUs and not the brand's desktop lineup, also known as Arrow Lake-S. Those are expected to launch sometime in October.
