The feature will temporarily mute notifications and send auto-reply to anyone sending you a DM InstagramQuietMode TechNave

Instagram has introduced a new feature called ‘Quiet Mode’ on its mobile app which the platform dubbed as ‘a new way to manage your time and focus’. When turned on, the feature will mute all notifications and send an auto-reply to anyone sending you a direct message on the app.

Announced on Meta’s Newsroom, Instagram said that it will specifically prompt teen users to toggle on Quiet Mode when they spend ‘a specific amount of time” on the app late at night. Furthermore, Quiet Mode will also be shown on your profile to notify other users that you’re using the feature so that they won’t disturb you or know that you won’t be seeing DMs from them.

Speaking of which, a summary of all notifications that you’ve missed will be shown to you once you return to the app. Quiet Mode can also be scheduled by users to turn on automatically at specific times. So, what do you guys think of these changes being introduced by Instagram? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
