A Bexar County inmate with a violent criminal history is accused of killing a fellow inmate, according to an arrest affidavit. Anthony Chase McGruder, 28, faces a murder charge in connection to the death of Jose Barrera , 62. On Tuesday, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office released details of an in-custody death at the jail around 2:30 p.m. As per the Sandra Bland Act , the Texas Rangers are leading the investigation.
