Tae René is an influencer, entrepreneur and makeup artist who recently released a book about her experience with postpartum depression, 'Show Up For Yourself.' Her work has assisted such high-profile figures as Kandi Burruss-Tucker, Tamika Mallory, and Jennifer Williams to reconnect with self-love.

Here are René’s top seven tips for how to take care of yourself as a busy working mom:- a relationship that keeps you grounded in character and rooted in purpose.Invest in your mental and physical health- define your purpose, set boundaries, and avoid distractions.- ask for help when needed to relieve stress. You don’t have to do everything on your own!- you are a “she-ro,” but you need to rest and give yourself time off without feeling guilty. You can't pour from an empty cup.

René says that as a child she dreamed of being an actress, model and fashion designer. Now she is an entertainment mogul and entrepreneur. But her true intention always has been to serve as a prominent voice and role model who inspires women “to show up for themselves with confidence and reach their fullest potential.”

Ever since struggling with post prenatal and postpartum depression, René realized she had to share her message about this common maternal mental health issue, which many women still feel too embarrassed to acknowledge. “This work is so rewarding,” says René. “I love being able to impart wisdom and resources to transform the lives and minds of a tribe of powerful and purpose-driven sisters.

René offers this advice to young people embarking on a new direction with their career: “Simply start. Many times, we hold ourselves back by over-strategizing. It’s okay to plan. However, nothing beats taking action and risks. So many more things will be revealed to you about yourself along the way. This is also what leads you to your ultimate purpose.”
