The fee has increased from $15 to $20. STD services are available at the Mobile County Health Department’s Public Health Clinic located in the Newburn Building at 248 Cox Street in Mobile. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, with walk-in hours between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Services include testing and treatment for individuals with symptoms or positive test results for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and trichomoniasis. Visits are walk-in only, and wait times may vary depending on patient volume. The MCHD Public Health Clinic is one of several options for STD care in Mobile County. Primary care providers can also offer additional evaluations and treatments, including other STD-like illnesses such as hepatitis, herpes, Human papilloma virus , or if sexually active forms of ringworm.
