In April 2024, Kara and Corbin Church founded iHub Innovation Hub of Utah, a 501 non-profit incubator in Provo , Utah, dedicated to empowering young entrepreneurs . Over the past year, iHub has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from zero to over 400 members, including more than 200 founders and 70+ Founders Club members who have pledged to give back 1% upon their company's success.
The organization's mission is to assist early-stage startups in overcoming common hurdles by providing resources such as personalized mentoring from industry experts, legal counsel, networking events, and social media training. In July 2024, iHub relocated to a new 50,000-square-foot office on Freedom Blvd in Provo, strategically positioned near BYU and UVU campuses to foster collaboration. This facility features the 'Founder's Floor' coworking space, multiple conference rooms, a recreation room with indoor pickleball courts, a classroom, a podcast studio, a full kitchen/lounge area, and a warehouse for inventory storage. The grand opening in September 2024 attracted nearly a thousand attendees and showcased 60 startups under iHub's mentorship. Notable speakers included NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young and former Utah Governor Gary Herbert, who emphasized the importance of goal-setting and a business-friendly environment for economic success. The young adults at iHub are exceptional. They've been knocking doors... They’ve got an amazing work ethic, and they're not afraid of rejection. They're overcoming very difficult things that most young adults their age would curl up and cry over. Among the entrepreneurs benefiting from iHub's resources is Kiara Dunn, co-founder of Fitted.app, an innovative app designed to streamline the process of finding well-fitting clothing through personalized recommendations. Dunn's venture exemplifies the type of forward-thinking startups that iHub aims to support, highlighting the incubator's role in nurturing businesses that address real-world challenges. As iHub celebrates its first anniversary, the organization continues to solidify its position as a cornerstone of Utah's entrepreneurial ecosystem, fostering innovation and collaboration among the next generation of business leaders.
