Your silence is complicity with white supremacy. If you can’t stand up to a racist friend, that makes you an accomplice to their hate and propaganda. Don’t blame it on who they are; it is not someone’s personality trait to be ignorant in times of high-stakes emergency. Also, pandering to the image of white audiences and aesthetic feeds only shows that you are okay with what’s going on and you are only concerned with what brand you are putting out into the world.
We are tired. We are human, and we deserve respect. Silence speaks louder than any word that could be uttered at this time; it shows where you truly lie in the grand scheme of things. Black lives matter, and this should be screamed to the mountaintops.
