PETALING JAYA: Bekas hakim Mahkamah Persekutuan, Idrus Harun ialah pilihan tepat untuk jawatan peguam negara kerana beliau serba boleh, kata bekas hakim Mahkamah Persekutuan, Gopal Sri Ram.“Beliau akan mengekalkan kredibiliti dan integriti Jabatan Peguam Negara,” kata Sri Ram“Beliau serba boleh kerana pernah menjadi pendakwa raya dan penasihat undang-undang.”

Sri Ram berkata, beliau sudah menyatakan ciri-ciri Idrus 2 tahun lalu dalam wawancara dengan sebuah stesen radio apabila kerajaan Pakatan Harapan mencari calon peguam negara selepas ia berkuasa.Sementara itu, Presiden Majlis Peguam, Abdul Fareed Abdul Gafoor berkata, Idrus membawa bersama pendedahan dan pengalaman luasnya, termasuk ketika beliau menjadi hakim.

Katanya, Majlis Peguam sebagai pihak berkepentingan utama dalam pentadbiran kehakiman bersedia bekerjasama dengan Idrus dalam hal kepentingan bersama.
