The fatal crash happened around 9:04 a.m. on I-83 south – less than a mile north of exit 50 for Route 22 west/Progress – andAnother part of the highway was also closed Tuesday morning after several vehicles and a tractor-trailer carrying cooking oil hit a disabled vehicle between exit 47 for Route 322 east/Derry Street and exit 45 for Paxton Street/Bass Pro Drive around 7 a.m.

Schreffler did not report any injuries stemming from the 7 a.m. crash, but said cooking oil spilled onto the highway – making it as far as the Route 283 split – and went into storm drains after the crash.
