Hurricane Idalia has wrought havoc in Florida, leaving 161,000 homes without power and submerging properties. The storm has now been downgraded as it heads into Georgia - but storm surges and rainfall pose new risks.
It was a state blown sideways, once more, as Idalia came ashore.
Widespread power outtages could"last for weeks", said Jonathan Porter, chief meteorologist at AccuWeather. "We don't want people to let their guard down here as this storm continues to be very dangerous," said Mr Porter. Now Florida Highway Patrol say a second driver, aged 59, died after colliding with a tree in a separate incident in Alachua County.
