Season four is currently in production.Season four of "Reasonable Doubt" is in production as we speak and we've got news on some new cast members. Durrell "Tank" Babbs and Meagan Good will join series regulars Emayatzy Corinealdi, McKinley Freeman, Tim Jo and Angela Grovey.
Babbs, a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter, will play Eric Cropper, who is described as a super-wealthy R&B artist and longtime client of Jax . He's "charming, calculating and accustomed to always getting his way at all costs." Good, an NAACP Image Award nominated actress, stars as Regina Harris, the new district attorney who is smart, compassionate and nobody's fool. Here is the official synopsis for season four of the Onyx Collective series: "After a brutal attack leaves Jax's family and newly minted law firm shaken, nothing feels certain, especially their future. With Jax's most loyal client at the center of a spiraling media disaster, The Stewart Firm is thrust into a high-stakes battle where every move could mean survival ... or collapse of the firm. As grief lingers and pressure mounts, one question looms: Can they rebuild in time or will the cost of moving forward too quickly be everything they stand to lose?"Season three dealt with Jax's client, child star Ozzie Edwards, who was accused of murdering his girlfriend, Wendy. Over the course of the trial, it was revealed he was sexually abused by his agent, Monica, played by Brandee Evans, which led him to turn to drugs, an addiction that he tried to hide from his family. Ozzie is found not guilty of murder and viewers learn that his father was the one who shot Wendy and his sister knew the whole time. At a celebration dinner with Jax and her family, Ozzie overdoses and passes away. After Ozzie's funeral and as the dust settles from the case, Jax decides to open her own law firm. And just as she's moving in, Monica shows up at her office and fires a shot right at Jax, her husband Lewis and her colleague Daniel ."The way that season three ended, you're going to be shocked. I can say that. You're going be shocked," she said. "We are jumping right back in it, right where we left off. So there will be no time left to wait. We're gonna get right to it." Who was shot? Do they survive? We'll soon find out. Corinealdi has the utmost trust in writer and creator Raamla Mohamed. "Raamla and her creative mind and the fantastic writers that she's assembled, they really create this world that really just resonates with people," she said. Corinealdi admitted that while the drama is fun to play, she wouldn't mind Jax getting a little respite to just enjoy life. "We really haven't seen like true peace for Jax. You know, with everything that has happened, there's always been something. You know, I look forward to being able to see her just...with no drama, no one trying to kill her, kidnap her...all of the things," she said. "Just peace, just a normal life with a picket fence and her two children. Maybe they should get a dog. I wanna see Jax with a dog because that changes things. That changes things, we need a pet!" While a pet, and perhaps a spa day, would be nice for Jax, judging by the end of season three, we're thinking that may have to wait awhile!The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Hulu and this ABC station.
