Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze has tried his best to temper the expectations of the freshmen wide receivers on his roster.
“It’s a pretty free rotation at that spot,” Freeze said of the wide receiver positions. “I want them fresh.” While Cain and Coleman enrolled early and went through both spring and fall camp, Simmons and Thompson didn’t arrive to Auburn until this summer, meaning they’re a bit behind their earlier-arriving counterparts.
